COURSE DESCRIPTION

Understanding and Managing Pacemakers, ICDs and CRT for the Allied Professional
was originally conceived and designed specifically for the non-physician since most educational forums about implantable cardiac devices were ‘physician-centric’. Our course is now in its 18th year. As in previous years, we attempt to provide a comprehensive update of cardiac implantable electronic device therapy. Designed for non-physicians working in the field, or contemplating a career in this area, this course will cover many aspects of implantable device therapy including pacemakers, ICDs and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). The agenda will include didactic lectures, workshops, and interactive formats. A “hands-on” programming workshop will provide an opportunity to work with various device manufacturers and their programming equipment.
